Pear Salad

Because you don't have to peel the pears, this recipe takes less than 10 minutes to make. And if you use a non-creamy dressing (no mayo or dairy) it travels well for lunch bags or picnics.

4 smooth-skinned pears, such as Bartlett
3 stalks celery
1/4 cup sliced blanched almonds
Bottled poppy-seed salad dressing

Wash and core pears. Cut into bite-sized chunks. Slice celery. Combine in bowl with pears and almonds. Toss with your favorite poppy-seed salad dressing. Refrigerate.
